Who is eligible?

  • Unorganised sector workers aged 18–40 years at the time of joining.

  • Monthly income up to ₹15,000 (self-certified).

  • Not covered under EPF/ESIC/NPS and not an income-tax payer. Ministry of Labour & Employment

  • Aadhaar Card (Aadhaar number) — mandatory (used for demographic verification & OTP). Ministry of Labour & Employment

  • Optional / helpful: nominee details, passport-size photo, proof of occupation (if available).

How to apply — Step by step (we can do this for you)

Option A — MNR Assisted (recommended)

  1. Book: Click Book PM-SYM Help or visit our MNR e-Hub centre.

  2. Provide documents: Aadhaar, mobile number, bank passbook / cancelled cheque, nominee name.

  3. OTP & verification: We assist you to receive and enter Aadhaar OTP and verify details.

  4. Initial payment: Pay the first monthly contribution in cash at our centre (receipt issued).

  5. Auto-debit setup: We help set up the monthly auto-debit from your savings/Jan Dhan account.

  6. Confirmation: Receive registration acknowledgement and a unique UMID / reference via SMS. We’ll also give you a soft copy or printed acknowledgement. Common Services Centres+1

Option B — Self enrol (online / CSC)

  1. Visit your nearest CSC (Common Service Centre) or the official Maandhan portal.

  2. Provide Aadhaar, bank and mobile details; complete Aadhaar OTP verification.

Estimated processing time & what to expect

  • Registration & UMID: Usually immediate / same day after successful Aadhaar OTP and first payment (SMS acknowledgement). Ministry of Labour & Employment

Common FAQs (short)

Q: Is there any govt fee to join?
A: No registration fee — the scheme is free. You only pay the monthly contribution (as per the chart). MNR charges a small service fee for assistance. EPF India

Q: When do I get pension payments?
A: Pension payments (₹3,000 per month) start after you attain the age of 60, provided you remain a subscriber or follow exit/withdrawal provisions. Family (spouse) gets 50% as family pension on death of subscriber. EPF India

Q: What if I stop contributing?
A: The scheme has flexible exit/withdrawal provisions (partial withdrawal, etc.). Details are in official scheme documents and vary by duration paid — MNR will guide you. EPF India

Q: Can husband and wife both join?
A: Yes — if both join, the family (combined) could receive up to ₹6,000/month (₹3,000 each) on attaining 60, subject to scheme rules. EPF India
